How to Cut Your Own Bangs

Bangs can be very sexy and flattering for almost all face shapes and are a great way to refresh your haircut without loosing overall length.
Here are some tips on how to cut your own bangs:

Start by grabbing a sharp pointed pair of scissors no longer than 5 inches.

Pull your hair into a ponytail or pin it using bobby pins, leaving only the part of hair you want to cut into bangs.

Don’t get your hair wet – when hair is dry tends to be shorter.

Using a comb divide your bangs in half and pull comb through until you reach the brow bone.

Cut the hair in a 45 degree angle. Cut slowly so you don’t make mistakes.

Another way you can cut bangs is by pulling your hair into a ponytail or pinning it down leaving only the hair you want to cut, loose.

Take the loose hair and twist it around 3 or 4 times. Look at the desired length and cut using a sharp pair of scissors.

Because the hair was twisted your bangs will be a bit longer and shorter in the center and longer toward the ends.

You can also use a razor to cut your bangs. Use your index and middle finger to hold your hair and move your fingers down until you have reached the desired length for your bangs. Cut with the razor right above the fingers.

Tip: after you are done cutting make sure your bangs are the same length by taking sections of the opposite side toward the center of your face. If one side is longer than the other trim it until it matches the shorter one.
